Thank you Home & School for A Great Red Ribbon Week

From the smiles that radiated throughout the week I think that it is safe to say that everyone enjoyed Red Ribbon Week. This week long emphasis on saying, "No!" to drugs is essential to our students growth. Learning to say "NO" now prepares each one for the future just in case they are met with this situation.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, Oct. 31

You can still sign up for parent teacher conferences until Tuesday night, October 29. Available times are filling up quickly. If you are unable to meet on Oct. 31, please contact your child's teacher and ask to meet on a different day after class. Teacher's are very willing to work out finding a time to meet your needs.

Meeting preparation Ideas:

  • Talk with your child about school.
  • Ask your child if there is anything that he or she wants you to talk about with his teacher.
  • Look over grade information on parentsweb.
  • Prepare questions you may want to ask such as:
-Is my child settling in to their new class and getting on with classmates?
-What homework workload can we expect?
-What is the average amount of time we should be spending on homework each day in

this new grade?

-Does my child participate in class?
-Does my child seem happy at school?
-Are there any special events or assignment due dates coming up?
-What can I do at home to help more?
