Deer Park Elementary School
September Newsletter
Principal Jeanne Krapfl
Dear Families,
I want to thank everyone for their understanding and kindness during a very strange time. I had hoped to have a somewhat normal school year and go back to allowing an open campus full of community events and unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that will be able to happen this year. I pride myself in communicating information out to the families as well as my staff and I just want to remind everyone that there are multiple locations to get what you need. Please check out our website, our Facebook page, I make a weekly call home every Sunday at 5 p.m., which the script also gets posted to Facebook, and I email the script home as well. Please know that the system our district uses for the calls and emails only allows it to be sent to one primary phone number and one primary email address. My suggestion is for you to have 1 parent have the primary phone and the other parent to have the primary email and this way at least two adults get my weekly communications. If you need to update your primary contacts or check on what you have designated in our system, please call Mrs. Fowler at 727-774-8906. As we do every year we promise to focus on your child’s learning and their academic growth, while doing our very best to keep them safe each and every day.
Wishing everyone continued health throughout the school year!

SAC Ballot
Dear Families:
Our 2021-2022 School Advisory Council is in the process of being organized. We had several openings for parent and business partner voting memberships. All Deer Park Elementary parents and community members were allowed to submit their names for consideration through a flyer sent home with students.
According to Florida public school guidelines, parents serving on a School Advisory Council must be voted on and approved by all other parents. Therefore, you will be voting for 3 parents to represent the parent population and confirming the entire Business Partner group as a whole. Take a moment to look over the parent candidates and cast your vote at the bottom of this letter.
Scan the QR code below to cast your vote.
The Parent Candidates Are: (Please check 3 names)
_____Rachel Watson _____ Tabitha Marrero
_____Jena Baumgartner
Thank you very much for your participation.
Please send this back to school with your child by September 6th, 2021.
