Wear Orange for Marshal Geiselman
Marshal went back into surgery to have a drain tube placed in his brain to prevent further swelling and obtain accurate pressure readings. Once he is out of surgery they will keep him sedated and on a ventilator for a few more days. They are hoping to try and wake him sometime next week.
I know this sounds really bad....But, he is still moving in the right direction and we are all still hoping for the best.
We ask that the community wear Orange to show your support for Marshal at tonights football game. Many will also be wearing pink for Cancer awareness.
Meal Train for Marshal Geiselman's Family

Requesting Alumni Veteran Picture (8x10)
OTSEGO LOCAL SCHOOLS WILL BE DEDICATING A WALL IN THE HIGH SCHOOL COMMONS TO HONOR VETERANS WHO ATTENDED OTSEGO SCHOOLS OR ONE OF ITS PREDECESSOR SCHOOLS (Grand Rapids, Haskins, Washington Township or Weston).
If you are a military veteran who attended one of these schools we are requesting that you provide us with an 8 x 10 photograph (hopefully in uniform) to be placed on the wall.
You can email a scanned copy of your photograph to koshea@otsegoknights.org or physically bring a copy of your picture to the Legion or the High School Main Office. Thank you for helping us honor our local veterans.
Parent Teacher Conference Sign-Ups
Conferences are approaching. They will be held over two days Wednesday November 2nd (4:00pm - 8:00pm) and Thursday November 3rd (10:00am - 8:00pm).
Parent Teacher Conference Sign-Up Link - CLICK HERE
Feedback last year was very positive about on line sign-ups so we are using SignUp Genius again for you to conveniently sign yourself up to meet with your child's teacher during conferences. I have created a short video tutorial to show you just how quick and easy it is. HOW TO USE SIGN-UP GENIUS VIDEO TUTORIAL.
If you do not wish to use the online tool to sign up for conferences, call the office at (419) 823-4381 and we can help you out over the phone. Thanks.
Grades
I just want to remind all students and parents that all of our courses are now semester courses, meaning at the end of this semester they will receive a (.5) half a credit for passing the class. If they do NOT pass the class then they will not receive that credit and will need to recover it at a later time. This is different in years past where they could fail the first semester and pass the second semester at a high enough percentage that they could ultimately pass the class. The problem with that is we would have to wait an entire year to find out whether or not a student passed or failed leaving us further behind to help a student recover. Please contact the office if you have questions about this. It is critical that your child passes at the semester in order to receive credit. Otherwise, they will need to make it up.

Update on Jordan Rizziello
Immunizations - Letter
Students that do not have this record in the office or that have not confirmed an appointment to complete this, will begin being sent home starting next week and they will be unable to attend school until they have it.
Immunization Letter from Jane Gray
All 12th grade students need to have TWO doses if they have not received one as of now. Only one dose is required.
PLEASE bring proof of Immunization to school or have Doctor's Office fax to (419) 823-1397.
Homework Cafe
Homework Cafe takes place every Wednesday after school from 2:20pm-3:30pm in the HS Library/Media Center. This is a great time to finish up any projects students are working on, study for upcoming tests or quizzes, or even receive tutoring from fellow classmates. All after school activities on Wednesdays will not start until 3pm to allow student athletes to be in Homework Cafe for 30 minutes before practice/games.
Students who attend Homework Cafe are expected to sign in. The office is then tracking the student's lowest grade and acknowledging them after 7 days if he/she has brought that grade up.

Safety/Regulations
Parents please talk to your child(ren) about eating/drinking on the bus to and from school. Simply put, it is prohibited and against the law. Our transportation department will be enforcing this rule and I do not want kids getting tripped up by this. Despite past practices current Ohio Law prohibits eating and drinking on the bus.
Athletics Department

Grades/Eligibility
Every Wednesday, ALL sports will wait until 3:00pm to start their practices. This will allow for students to seek out teachers after school for help with their school work and not feel as rushed to get out to practice as well as allow our athletes to possibly get involved in other clubs and organizations which will be allowed to meet after school during this time. Athletic teams may hold study tables after school on Wednesdays until 3:00pm.
The Athletics Department will also begin running a weekly eligibility list identifying all athletes that have either a "D" or "F" in a class and notify coaches and players. Coaches will be expected to work with their athletes to get these kids off the eligibility list.
