Antonio Vivaldi
Antonio Vivaldi was born on March 4, 1678. When he was born he was baptized right after, either because of an earthquake or the baby's poor health. He was in the Baroque period. He was learning to be a priest but also studied the violin. Later on in life he worked at the Ospedale della Pieta. He also worked for the emperor Charles VI. On July 28, 1741 Vivaldi sadly died.
Vivaldi's Life
He was part of a big family of four brothers and four sisters. His fathers name was Giovanni Battista. We don't know much about his early life but more about his life later on. When he was a priest his nickname was "The Red Priest" be cause of his red hair. He also had a medical problem that we call asthma but back then it was "tightening of the chest". When he worked as a music teacher he tried to get girls to play in front of people. `

Vivaldi's music
This is The Four Seasons, one of Vivaldi's pieces. He wrote it because of artwork he saw. It got him thinking about the seasons and inspired to write the four seasons. He also wrote many other for the young girls at Ospedale della Pieta. People came to ask him to write a piece to remember their visit.
