Truman Elementary

Game On!

Happy Fri-Yay

According to the map today, we will be back at school Monday! We will be kicking off Truman Elementary "Winter Nice Storm 2020", so make sure to check out ALL THE GREAT dress up days we have planned! 2020 has been a great year in some ways, and a tough year in others. We thought it was important to bring a little JOY to kids and adults, celebrate together, and have some FUN, FUN, FUN! Along with dressing up, students will be participating in activities in their classrooms and sharing good times as we continue important learning.

News from Classrooms

Mrs. Schooler's Class Projects!

We read the story Molly's Pilgrim about a young Jewish girl and her family that moved to America. Students then learned about their own family Heritage and created a doll and wrote a paper about their family. These are some of the dolls students and writings students created and shared about their family history. It was wonderful to learn more about each child!

Winter Party Day

Our Winter Party Day is Friday, December 18. Winter parties will look similar to Halloween parties, as parents are not able to be in the building. Watch for information from individual teachers, as they will decide the time and format. Thanks for your helping making these unusual party days still feel special!

Guest Teachers and Classroom Coverage Needed

You can become a guest teacher through Kelly Educational Staffing, which is the agency that is staffing guest teachers (previously knows as "substitutes") in NPS. You can apply through Kelly Educational Staffing online or call (405) 848-0538 if you have questions. You can choose your availability and even which schools you want to serve!

During COVID-19, volunteers are limited to reduce the number of individuals in our buildings.
