Walt Disney's Biography

Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, IL. Most of his childhood was lived out in Marceline, Missouri. Disney had four brothers and a sister. Walt Disney did not go to college. He graduated from McKinley High School in Chicago. After which he tried to enlist in the military at age 16 but was rejected, and joined the Red Cross. Walt Disney married Lillian Bounds in 1925 and they had a child Diane Disney 1933. They then preceded to adopt a child named Sharon Mae Disney in 1936. Some of his many accomplishments include the opening of his fantastic theme park in Anaheim, California, Disneyland, 1955. Another of them was the first full-length animated film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" which was released in 1937. Also, he was awarded 26 Oscars over the course of his career. The last one I will talk about is how Mickey Mouse appeared in his first animated feature on November 18, 1928, with "Steamboat Willie." Walt Disney's likes were theme parks, nature and wildlife. Dislikes were Jews. Some of Walt Disney's goals and dreams were to open up Walt Disney World Resort, to create brands, and to entertain children with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and other characters. Some of his many jobs were american business magnate, animator, cartoonist, producer, director, screenwriter, entrepreneur, and voice actor. Walt Disney died December 15, 1966 and was 65 years old when he died. I think that Walt Disney was a hero in his line of work because using his creativity he made many people feel happy and joyful.

Mickey Mouse Debuts!

Today, May 15, 1928, "Mickey Mouse" with "Plane Crazy" debuted out to the public. In the episode Mickey is trying to fly an airplane, after building his own airplane, he did a flight simulation to ensure that the plane is safe for flight but the flight fails, destroying the plane. Using the remains of his plane to create another plane, he asks Minnie to join him for its first flight after she presents him with a horseshoe for good luck. The flight they take is an out-of-control flight with exaggerated, impossible situations. It didn't seem like they were too interested. I wanted to make more, so that "Mickey Mouse" would become popular. The second episode I made was called "Gallopin' Gaucho". This episode was not released though so that we could work on "Steamboat Willie", which was then released on, Nov. 18, 1928.

Sharon Mae Adopted!

Today is December 31, 1936, I adopted my second child, Sharon Mae Disney. She is very young. An infant, only ten days old. Also, I hope so much that she loves or house and our little family. I hope she grows up to be a very good person! She better get along with her sister though!

Disneyland Opens!

After visiting many theme parks with Sharon and Diane, I've decided to make a theme park myself. It's July 17, 1955 and Disneyland has finally opened. I've put my theme park in Anaheim, California. I hope my fans love the theme park! I think this will be a big step in my career.
