Grade Cards

Today grade cards were emailed. Please respond to this if you did not receive anything from me with an attached grade card. This process is new for all of us, so I appreciate your patience.

Book Fair

The Book Fair is in full swing. Students have gone to visit and gotten an idea about books they wish to purchase. Students can also purchase suckers for 50 cents to help raise funds for the Hillcrest Media Center. The Book Fair runs until next Tuesday.

Homework Celebration

Students currently have homework that is a reading log due Friday. While they will not have anything due next week, they will receive a reading log and a math and writing practice that will be due the Friday AFTER Spring Break.

Our class recently reached our goal of reading 20,000 pages for the Price Chopper Feed the Reading Challenge. Price Chopper's program also provides a celebration when we accomplish our goal, which we will participate in next Wednesday, prior to Spring Break. Way to go, kiddos!

There are currently two different donation drives going on at Hillcrest.

The first is a clothing drive benefitting foster families and runs now through Spring Break. Here is a link to information

The second is a canned food drive. Hillcrest Student Council is working on this for the Heart 'n Hand ministries as a service project. We have a school goal of 1500 items. If we reach that, the school will earn a schoolwide game day. Here are also runs through next Wednesday. Let's fill those buckets!!

Our field trip is planned for the Friday before Memorial Day. Please keep this in mind when making plans!!

Our first annual STEAM Academy Grandfriend's Night was a wild success. Thanks to those who brought family members to participate. We had a wonderful time building pool noodle towers.
