Life Group Leaders Weekly
WEEK SEVEN (March 4 - 10)
OUR MISSION
TO CULTIVATE
"MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS CENTERED ON GOD'S WORD AND PRAYER"
LIFE GROUP UPDATE
Hello Life Group Leaders!
A short one this week...
We are already moving into week 7 which means there are only a few weeks left before the end of the Spring semester of Life Groups draw to a close and, with that, 5 months off from the Life Group program. Sad, I know.
This week I want to encourage you as as leaders to prayerfully consider twothings:
1) Who in your group do you think would make an ideal future Leader or Host? Talk about that together so that in one week you will be ready to make a referral. And,
2) Discuss some ways your group can stay in touch through the summer break. Backyard BBQ's? Dinners after church? Beach days with families? Picnics at the park? Social nights? That might go a long way to keep the group connected until next fall.
TAKE NOTE - SERMON NEXT WEEK "PRIVATE LUST"
I also want to give you a heads up that in two weeks we are going to cover the topic of "Private Lust." Since this is a sensitive subject, we have been working extra hard to ensure the topic is broached with care and caution. We are going to encourage all groups to consider separating into male-female groups halfway through discussion if you, as Leaders, think that would be beneficial. This is just a heads up. Description:
"At first glance, you might consider this not to be an ‘acceptable’ sin to Christians. Why, then, don’t we ever talk about it? Over 64% of Christian men in America admit to view pornography at least once a month. This is an acceptable sin - not because people think it is "no big deal." It is acceptable because it is private and rampant, and the silence is deafening. One can maintain public respectability and have a soul-destructive habit that no one knows about. This message will talk about the problem and the hope of the fight for purity."
Thanks everyone!
In Christ,
Pastor Justin
TIP OF THE WEEK!
This Week's Tip of the Week - #7 "REST!"
There is not tip of the week this week. Take a break! Read a book! Find some rest from Pastor Justin's voice in text form!
THINGS TO REMEMBER
1) LEADER/HOST TANDEMS - Remember that you are encouraged to meet together as a Leader/Host team each week independently of group time for planning, mutual encouragement, and post-group meeting evaluation. Be sure to talk about future plans as Leaders and Hosts.
2) DRINKS WHEN PEOPLE ARRIVE
3) GREET YOUR GUESTS AT THE DOOR
GOALS FOR THE GROUP MEETING
- Build Relationships!
- Discuss Homework
- Prayer - Also consider praying in smaller groups. This allows for more voices to pray, and also makes it less intimidating for those still learning to pray out loud.

Pastor's Notes:
While anger is rarely something we accept with open arms, we often accept such behavior as permissible and certainly not sinful.

Leaders and Hosts,
As you meet with your teams to complete your service projects and social events, be sure to take lots of pictures and videos! After that, here are two more things you can do:
- Send your pics and videos to Heather Thomas at: hnthomas.2002@gmail.com, and
- Post your pics and videos on Facebook with the hashtag #CRCLifeGroups (we will only be able to see the posts with the proper hashtag link). Also, be sure to express why you love your Life Group in the post.
Once all 10 groups have completed their service projects we will do a random draw for every individual email with videos/pictures to Heather and social media interaction from your group (max of 2 per individual).
