We R Charles
A Note from Mrs. Phillips
Dear Charles Families:
We've made it an entire month already, it's hard to believe! As Covid numbers continue to rise, I applaud you for being proactive and monitoring your child's symptoms. We've had very little impact with quarantines and/or close contacts but our community has not been as lucky. As we move through this fluid situation, I appreciate your child masking up and practicing healthy habits. We want to stay as safe as possible!
We are finishing up beginning of the year data and testing NWEA. It is almost time for progress reports, already. The best way to stay in touch with your child's teacher is through Class Dojo. They are available daily but please give them 24 hours to respond. If you notice your child struggling or would like additional resources, please contact your teacher. We want to stay in front of any possible academic concerns before they become an issue.
Dismissal has been running pretty smooth. We have heard from a few neighbors about blocking driveways. Please be considerate as you are waiting to pick up your child, and please do not block driveways. Just a reminder, please call the office with any transportation changes. Sometimes teachers will not get Dojo messages in time for dismissal. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Chocolate sales are wrapping up next week. Thank you to our PTO for a wonderful opportunity to raise money for a school trip. We will have the Kona Ice truck here later this month for all students that sold one box. Other prizes will be distributed in a timely manner. Thank you again for your support and we invite you to join our PTO at their next meeting on 9/20.
As always, I'm here if you need anything. I try my best to put things out there on Dojo and Social Media. If there is anything else I can do better, please let me know. You can send a personal message via Dojo, Facebook or Twitter. You may also email me or call the office. That information is found below. Have a great year Chargers!
Be kind, be amazing, and be YOU!
