crusaders in (and out of) the classroom
Mr. Witkowski's 10th grade biology students wrapped up the anatomy unit last week by comparing the organ systems of rats and bullfrogs to humans. Once they got past the "ick" factor, most of the students found they enjoyed and learned a lot from the experience (including not to wear white sneakers on dissection days). They will be working on cell models at home over the next two weeks while simultaneously learning about biochemistry in class.

Mr. Lyman's 9th Grade Physics class enjoyed working with partners to measure the acceleration of a car on a ramp while staying safe.

Mrs. Waitner and Mrs. Cornock took our students outside today to collect water samples from the vernal pool and nearby bogs. We are looking at different ecosystems big and small!

Ms. Whalen made a new friend at the Science department outdoor lunch Thursday! She did not eat too much at the picnic. She could have just finished eating her mate.

Ms. Whalen took her Cohort A students in 7th Grade Zoology to the auditorium for an activity!
They needed a big area, and had originally planned to go outside.
But they weren’t going to let the rain stop them from having fun! Crusaders make it happen!

Our ACE Program went back outside this week to get more hands on experience with cars! This weeks topics were pumping gas, lights, the dangers of distracted driving, and safety while traveling alone! After working hard the students earned a socially distant mask break while walking the track!
