Coffee Afternoon
Parents/carers/families and the local community are welcome to come along to a coffee afternoon on Thursday 26 February between 1.30pm and 3pm at Café Epinay. Please come and join us, call in for a cuppa, a chat, meet others and find out more about school projects, access information and support fundraising events.
Fairtrade Fortnight
Fairtrade Fortnight takes place from Monday 23 February to 8 March 2015. Look out for Fairtrade activities taking place within the school. Café Epinay will be offering Fairtrade desserts at the lunch clubs on Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 March.
World Book Day
Listen for a Change
Listen for a Change is holding an information day for parents/carers on Tuesday 10 March from 10am-2pm at the Hedworth Hall, Dean Road, South Shields. Refreshments and lunch provided – just drop in anytime throughout the day.
Teaching School Conference
Pie and Peas Supper
Epinay School are holding a Pie and Peas social event on Thursday 12 March from 6pm-8pm at The Clervaux Exchange, Clervaux Terrace (old Jarrow Police Station). Come along and support our school’s fundraising and get a sneaky preview of the newly refurbished business centre, next door to the school. Tickets now on sale from the school office –only £3 each which includes entry and pie & peas. There will also be bingo, quiz and Easter egg tombola!
National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week takes place from Monday 9 to Friday 13 March.
Epinay School is pleased to introduce Paige Groombridge as the newly appointed Business Administration apprentice. Paige said that she has really enjoyed her first month getting to know the school, the staff and the children and is thankful for this opportunity and support in developing her career prospects. Paige will help develop Epinay School’s publicity and promotions and provide administration support to the recently established Teaching School. Welcome to Epinay School Paige.
International Magic Festival
Comic Relief
Red Nose Day is back on Friday 13 March and pupils and staff will be helping raise funds for Comic Relief who help to transform the lives of millions of people, both at home in the UK and across Africa. Further details will be put on the school website.
British Science Week
British Science Week runs from Friday 13 to Sunday 22 March 2015. Epinay School have run a wide range of events in the past (for what was previously known as National Science and Engineering Week). This year the school are holding a Murder Mystery event on Friday 20 March from 10am-2pm, parents/carers welcome. For further details contact Mr Martin.
Parent's Day
Parents/Carers are invited along to parent’s day on Thursday 19 March from 9am-12noon. We have also invited along a range of agencies, support services and training providers – so why not make a morning of it … stay for a coffee, have a chat and find out more about the services for children, young people and their families.
