STAAR Reminders

Important Information Regarding STAAR Testing

All students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades will participate in the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) this week. STAAR is a state-required assessment designed to measure the full range of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

What if my child is absent?

If a student is absent on the scheduled test day, the student will be given a make-up test during the designated testing window upon his/her return.

Snacks ok to bring: goldfish, cheeze-it’s, pretzels, dry cereal, non-messy fruit, etc. Anything dry that doesn’t get the child’s hands messy is ok. Please adhere to classroom allergies if there are any.

Snacks NOT ok to bring: Cheetos, Doritos, anything greasy, anything chocolate, anything that melts, etc.

If you have questions about STAAR, please email BEFORE testing day.
