What is Fair Use?
Fair use is the sense that you can copy a copyrighted material. You can limited amounts of copyrighted materials. It can be used for criticism, education, and to comment upon without permission from the author.
The Four Factors of Fair Use
1.Purpose and character, is it just a copy or is being used differently
2.Nature of original work, was it creative or informational
3.Amount used, you can used 30 seconds of a video
4.Effect, did it harm the market of the original work
Why is Fair Use Important?
Fair use gives people the ability to use works without needing to ask permission every time you want to use information research. It allows you to avoid some copyright laws, but all you have to do is site where you got the information.
