December's Core Essential and Precept

Joy

The Core Essential Value for December is Joy. Joy means finding a way to be happy even when things don't go your way. One way to find joy is to do kind things for others. Here is a link to a calendar of ideas to incorporate kindness into December to bring more JOY to your world!

“The only way to prove that you’re a good sport is to lose.” Ernie Banks

Sometimes our students have a hard time losing with grace. Part of being a good sport is being able to do this. This time of year is a great time to break out board games and play as a family. This allows plenty of opportunities to demonstrate how to lose gracefully and conversations about how to be both a gracious loser and winner.

Community Service Projects

Donate Scarves, Hats, and Gloves

All donations can be brought to R-MIS during school hours or before the Christmas Choir Concert. Donations will be used to help students in our district.
