Memorial Park Family Newsletter
February 2020
We are half way through the school year!
Our goal is to get more students reading everyday. It is so important for students to build a strong foundation in reading, but they have to practice. Please encourage your child to read at home and never use reading as a punishment.
Our school will be hosting a family literacy night on Thursday, February 27th and we hope you can join us! More information will be sent home in our weekly orange folders.
Students who read books can also fill out a slip each week and drop it into the green basket in the office. During mp_reads Tucked in Tuesday on Instagram at 7:30 p.m. two students who filled out slips will win a gold coin to select a book from our new book vending machine!
So, please help us in encouraging reading, writing and learning math facts at home as we work on them at school. It is the home-school connection that makes students successful. Memorial Park staff thank you for your continued support.
Don't Forget to Tune in to Tucked in Tuesday on Instagram!
Congratulations to Sophia and Khloe below for reading and winning gold coins!
