Principal's Message

Dear Sabre families,

We hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend!

We just wrapped up our tours for our current grade 9’s who will be starting Grade 10 at SAL in the fall. It was great to welcome our future Sabres and show them around. As a note, this will be our largest incoming class in many years, so the building will have an added infusion of energy.

As mentioned prior to Spring Break, we are excited to open up the school to the community on April 27 for our Back in Black and Red Event, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Big picture

This event is open to all, whether you graduated in the class of 1969 - 1970, our first graduating class in our current location or are graduating in 2025. We know our alumni are often eager to find their grad picture and ask questions from when they went to school, like what happened to the smoke pit?

Also, we have gone through our first round of student registration for our current grade 10 and 11’s for the 2022 - 2023 school year. If your child was absent on the day their grade completed the registration, they will be called down by Guidance/Administration to complete a Course Planning Chart.

We are also excited that our School Council meeting will be returning to being in person next Thursday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. Stay tuned for the agenda later this week.

In closing, have a good week and do let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
