Hello RHE families,
It was another short week here at school. However, the teachers did a great job continuing to make learning meaningful and fun. We are looking forward to getting back into the routine of a full week.

Science Fair Last Day for Sign Up and Schedule for Board Pick-Up
Today Friday March 8th is the last day to sign up for the RHE Science Fair. For registered participants display board pick up will be during the following times:
- Monday March 11 from 4-5 p.m. in the lobby
- Tuesday March 12th from 6:45 p.m - end of RHHSA meeting in library
- Wednesday March 13th 8:15-9 a.m. in the lobby
We can't wait to see all the creative and interesting projects, presentations, inventions, or collections!
Son, Plus Fun Event
Son, Plus Fun (formerly Mother Son) will take place on Friday March 29th from 7-9 P.M. Grab you special guy and head out for a evening of fun activities at the Newtown Athletic Club. Tickets will go on sale this Sunday March 4th and remain on sale through Wednesday March 27th. Tickets can be purchased at the school store here. Please see attached flyer for additional details.
Chess Club
Due to a cancellation earlier in the year, there is one more Chess Club meeting for the winter session. However, it will not take place until March 19th. There will be no Chess Club on March 5th or March 12th. Mr. Yakobashvilli will be away coaching the United States Women’s Olympic Chess Team. We’ll see all of our chess players on March 19th!

Box Tops
Box Tops have been collected and the results are in ...
The winner of our February Contest is Mrs. Parker's class. They beat out Mrs. Pollack's class by over 50 Box Tops! And t hey get to choose between a Gym Class with Mr. Smith or a PJ Day. Congratulations!
We collected a total of 734 Box Tops during our February Contest. That brings our total for this year to $674.70!
"Keep Clipping" those Box Tops ! This month's contest ends on Friday, March 29th! A Collection Sheet is below.

2018 CRSD Summer Academic and STEM Academy
The Council Rock School District will be holding summer school, offering a variety of academic programs for students entering grades K-8. Programs run between July 1st and July 25th. Please use the link for registration paperwork and a clear description of all program offerings and dates. Camp Invention
Camp Invention will again be running this summer at Maureen S. Welch Elementary the week of June 24-28, 2019 with all new programming for an exciting time of inventing, making new friends, and having fun!
You can register your child now at https://www.invent.org/programs/camp-invention and receive $35 off the base price. This discount will expire on February 8, 2019. Don’t miss out!

PSSA Dates
To help families with their planning of trips and appointments, here are the following days that students in grades three through six will be taking PSSA tests:
- ELA – April 23rd, 24th, 25th
- Math – April 29th and 30th
- Science – May 2nd and 3rd (Fourth Grade Only)
