This year has been faced with trials, challenges, changes, adjustments, persistence, determination, successes, and so many accomplishments. When we step back and look at what our students have accomplished, we are beyond proud of their hard work. They have been the inspiration for the extra push that we need to continue moving forward in a positive direction. They have been the light through the darkness that this past year has brought and they have proven that they have the power to be the change in this world.

InnovateWithIN Teams Pitch Their Way To State!

Our students did it again! We had some great teams with great inventions competing in this year's InnovateWithIN and with help from Mr. Schultz, our Hobart Radio and TV class, and the technology department, these students did a fantastic job at the Regionals event. Many competed but we had TWO teams advance to the STATE competition and became this year's 1st and 2nd place winners for Region 6, which is Northwest Indiana. Congrats to Alli who came up with "Cramps Revamped" and Jerry, Max, and C.J. who founded Station 0! Watch their live recorded pitches here: https://www.facebook.com/innovatewithinindiana/videos/223608219520251

If you are wondering what Innovate WithIn is, their mission is to teach students how to view life through a lens of innovation and entrepreneurship, while building a life of purpose. They envision this generation of youth to see that opportunities are everywhere and fuel their innovation, inventions, and hope for the communities, country and the world!

The Regional Pitch is an event that is held annually where high schoolers from every Region of the State get a chance to pitch their entrepreneurial idea for a chance at $25,000 AND the opportunity to collaborate with world-class inventors to help turn their business from a dream to a reality. To learn more about it and the impact it has made right here in our Hobart schools, check out the video below that features TWO of our past entrepreneurs - Abigale and Faith! Always #BrickieProud

The High School's Performing Arts' Passion Moved Us All!

Congratulations to the Performing Arts and their incredible performance UNMASKED! This year has been a roller coaster for the world and the different impacts that it has taken on each individual person was not always easy. The students decided to take these moments and embrace them by creating, themselves, this masterpiece of a performance. UNMASKED consisted of original works by Brickies that were profound and moved one to tears. Bravo on capturing the heart of a nation and its people when the world was turned upside down!
