KOlture Bands Update!!!!! (Updated 5/7)

Hey Panthers!!!

Big Thanks to the KO Biology Team for their MASSIVE donation to the KOlture Kart...we appreciate it greatly...

Continue to look out for the NEW PURPLE colored KOlture Bands! These are given to students who follow school rules and also maintain our social distancing rules for the campus.

Recipients can receive snacks and/or earbuds when the KOlture Kart comes by your classroom.

Thanks for following class and school rules!!!!

ATTENDANCE REMINDER...

Per state law...

For a student to receive credit for a class, he/she must attend class at least 90% of the time to be eligible to receive academic credit.

This rule applies to both online and in-person scholars.

Please log in at the regularly scheduled time (online) for each class; get to class on time if on campus. This will guarantee that the attendance requirement will be met.

KO KOlture Krew (Update)

Selected KOL and KOC students are nominated by their teachers to be named to the KOlture Krew, which is a group that exemplifies excellence in behavior whether online or on-campus.

Winners receive in their yards an awesome KOlture Krew sign to signify their accomplishment!!!

Students who receive these signs will be allowed to keep them as a token of the school's appreciation.

Klein Oak thanks its students for supporting PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports) on and off the campus.

KOL Student Tip of the Week (5/7/2021) UPDATE

ATTENTION ALL KO STUDENTS-

As a reminder, KLEIN OAK is a CLOSED campus. For the safety and security of all students and staff, please follow the protocols listed below:

1. Students are NOT allowed to leave campus unless permission has been granted by school administration. A pass must be administered from the attendance office so that campus administrators and monitors are aware of who is allowed to leave campus.

2. There are NO deliveries allowed on the campus from Door Dash or other delivery services. Students who are expecting items from parents/guardians must advise those individuals to proceed to the front office and check in with the school secretary.

3. Students who are bus riders are not allowed to leave campus once they arrive. Once a student exits the bus on the KO campus, they are to head immediately into the building.

4. Students are not allowed to go to the parking lot during the day to retrieve items from vehicles, unless permission has been given from the front office. The parking lots are off-limits during the day.

5. Students who are being dropped off/picked up from school should use the parking lot driveway at the FRONT of the school, not by the Athletic Parking Lot.

PLEASE NOTE: Violations of these protocols shall result in disciplinary consequences, which can include an assignment to in-school suspension (ISS).

VARIA...

Tardies? Yes...if you are KOC (Klein On Campus), you must be in class on time. Just remember, teachers have to teach students who are online at the same time as you are. You can help your teacher do a better job by being on time. Teachers are now taking tardies, so please get to class on time.

Tech Issues? Students are to fill out the device work order on StudentNet and then visit KORC while they are on campus. A tech assistant will make needed repairs as soon as possible...

Attendance? Whether you are KOL (Klein On-Line) or KOC (Klein On Campus), your best bet to ensure that you earn academic credit this year is to attend your classes at their regularly scheduled times. If you know in advance that you are going to miss class, please communicate that to your teachers so they will know how to appropriately service your needs.

Buses? Students who need bus information can check the district website and obtain route numbers, stop locations, and pickup times.
