CAREER WEEK NEXT WEEK

Older grades will explore and research colleges or other schools that may be of interest to them. The younger grades will spend more time researching different careers they may be interested in. Students will be encouraged to share their research on colleges/schools or careers with their class at some point this week.
*Thursday, Jan. 12th will be Career Day. Students/staff are encouraged to dress up in a career of interest to them and share the research they have done about that career (what are the requirements for that job/career, what would you do in that job, is there an age limit on applying for that career, what is the job demand for that career, etc…
Thursday and Friday- 3rd and 4th grade will also have High School speakers to talk about after graduation/colleges/jobs- If you are interested in a career that requires a college education, what are colleges looking for, what do they ask in college applications (community service, GPA’s, high school courses, etc).
Mrs. Meyer will speak with K-2 classrooms on careers during the week.
Guest speakers may also be invited into the classrooms as well.
We are looking forward to a fun filled WEEK with great discussions.
