Elementary TAC Update
January 2015
Resources to Share
We'll try to deliver these in between our monthly TAC meetings. Speaking of which, our next meeting is Tuesday, February 10th at Culverdale.
This month's update covers resources to guide electronic research and close reading. In addition, as you continue to work those P.E. minutes, we have some resources for indoor P.E. or brain breaks, and some extra ones thrown in just for fun.
Let us know if you have any questions or there is anything we can do to help!
Electronic Research
Citelighter
It is also a toolbar they can add to Chrome. All they do is highlight the information they want to save. Citelighter copies that information on a project for them and formats the source bibliography into any correct format.
There is a premium version that helps your students organize their writing, but it's expensive (ie. more than free), so we haven't checked it out yet.
EasyBib
Grammarly
With the free version, you have to copy and paste your text back and forth and it doesn't have a lot of the robust, analytical features. Still, it helps guide some grammar focus for your students. An added plus is that it does recognize text boxes (it's been checking our grammar continually as we're typing each entry).
