Morning Drop Off
Students need to be dropped off at the front doors at MAES, not walking through the parking lot unassisted. Unfortunately our parking lot is full of traffic and with the potential of dark, slippery mornings, it can be concerning with kids walking all around.
BUS
Should you need another letter, please contact Kylie or Kristen at their offices.
PTA Pipeline
It's time for some FALL FUN for MAES students. Join us from 5:00-7:00 on November 15th for an exciting night of games!
MAIS Math Masters
Test results are being evaluated. Invitations to join will be sent home with students the week of Nov. 12th.
The club will begin to meet in mid-to late November. More info to come. Please contact Mary Henriksen @ mhenriksen@isd2149.org with any questions.
Scholastic Book Fair was a success!
Each book fair earns Scholastic dollars for our school. I was able to use the Scholastic dollars to put 85 new books in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classrooms!
If you're interested in helping Kristen with the Spring Buy One Get One Free Book Fair please contact her @ kquelle@isd2149.org.
Caring Hands Mobile Dental Health Clinic Opportunity for Your Student
A child’s oral health is fundamentally tied to both overall health as well as his or her academic success. That is why Minnewaska School is partnering with the Pope County early Childhood/THRIVE Initiative and the West Central Initiative Early Childhood Dental Network to ensure that our students have a dental home. If you have private insurance, we encourage you to continue dental visits for your children.
Screening includes: exam, fluoride, x-rays and cleaning. Any follow-up work will be completed at the Caring Hands Dental Clinic in Alexandria.
Clinic Date: November 15th & 20th, 2018
The Caring Hands Mobile Dental Clinic is for students covered by MA, MNCare, Primewest, Blue Plus or are uninsured. Forms can be found at Minnewaska Area School website and the School Nurse’s office. If you have questions please call Caring Hands Dental at 320-815-5711.
