Intro
The judicial branch, legislative and executive branches help our country. Our government made a difference in our country. How would you feel if we had a different kind of government?
The Judicial Branch By: Maeve Case
The judicial branch is made up of Judges or Justices that serve on the supreme court. The President chooses judges to serve in the courts senate must approve these appointments. The Judicial Branch has an important responsibility . They make decisions if the laws made by congress agree with the constitution. The President chooses one Supreme Court Justice to be the leader.
The nine Justices sit at a raised table called a bench. All nine Justices listen to each case brought to the court while lawyers tell both side of the issue. The Justices deliberate with one and another to decide the best decision by majority vote. Laws passed by cities and states must agree with the Constitution. Sandra Day O'Connor was the first woman to be named a Supreme Court Justice. Justices serve for life or can choose to retire.

A government is an organization that directs the actions of a national state or community. A government has the authority and power to make, carry out and enforce laws. The federal powers and state powers have many jobs to keep the government running well. The federal powers job is to make treaties with other nations, provide needs for national defence, collect taxes on goods from other countries, and print the money. A state power’s job is to vote on constitutional amendments, decide on voting requirements, they also run the elections.
One important role that the US government has is to protect individual rights. There are many rights people should have, although not everyone has freedom. People have the freedom to believe in what he or she wants to believe in. We, in the United States have the freedom to hold meetings and express our opinions. It is your responsibility to vote. As you see the rights of one person is very important.
The constitution made a really important difference in our life. The constitution is a document that describes the authority and power of a government. The constitution states that the United States government was formed by the people and that its power comes from the people as well. Many nations with a constitution are a democracy, the United States is a democracy. The constitution made the United States a better place.

The Bill of Rights is important for this nation. The Bill of Rights are the first ten amendments of our Constitution. James Madison wrote the Bill of Rights, because he was the taking notes during the conference. The Bill of Rights was written in 1791. Anti-federalists held that a Bill of Rights Was necessary. The Bill of Rights made enormous in our life.

The Legislative Branch has many important, difficult jobs that benefit a tremendous amount of people. The Legislative Branch has the most power out of everyone in the government. For example, only the Legislative Branch can declare war, borrow money, print currency, or establish taxes that adults need to pay. Men and women are elected to Congress so they can represent each state, and they make the Legislative Branch. They are responsible for passing laws so that the nation can run smoothly and fairly.
Some of the laws are for the rights of individuals and others are for common goods. For example, they make sure that there is land for national parks and that there is clean air and water. There is over 500 people in Congress. Congress has 2 different parts, The Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate is made up of 100 people and the House of Representatives is made up of 435 voting members that each have a 2 year term. The government and the Legislative branch serve a big role in our nations government.
The Executive Branch By:Francesca Acampora
The executive branch is run by the president. The president is the head of the government as well as the chief of the executive branch.The constitution gives the president the power and authority that no other person in the government has.The constitution calls for the president to let congress know how the nation is doing.The president may create agentces to do jobs that are for good.In the nations the people elect or choose their leaders.The executive makes sure laws vary followed.The president is the head of the government,head of the state,and commander.Every day the president is faced with scores of decisions. The most visable parts of the EOP are the white house,communications office,and the press office.

In Conclusion, the government has many important roles and they help everyone in the country every day whether its a fire in Texas or planting trees in Florida. We all need to contribute and help the government and even if we're not perfect we can all make a change every day.
