Principals Message:
Thank you to everyone who made our first week of school a great way to start the 2022-2023 school year. We appreciate all the student, staff, parent, family, and community support CHS has received over this week and all the support at the different events, including;
- Freshmen Orientation, where we had one of the best turnouts of our incoming 9th-grade students in years. it was a great introductory experience for our new 9th grade students
CHS Community BBQ, with over 200 students, staff, families, and community members who celebrated the start of the school year together and learned about many of the different ways to get involved at CHS.
Senior Sunrise for Seniors was a fantastic continuation of a long CHS tradition as our seniors watched the sun's rising at the start of their senior year.
The first day of school was exciting and filled with fun and learning.
CHS Welcome Back Assembly was the first time we had our whole student body together showing their Eagle Spirit in many years.
We have had more fans cheering on our Eagles at our sporting events than we have had in many years; thanks to all of you this week, and it has made a difference our teams can feel!
Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Please know that we are here to support you by answering any questions you might have. Our focus during these first weeks of school will continue to be on safety and building community. Please call, email, or send us a Reminder if you have any questions because it takes all of us working together to make our CHS community strong.

Reminders:
CHS ASB Wants Your Feedback: CHS ASB has already planned and run several CHS events this year, including the CHS Community BBQ, Freshmen rotation, Senior Sunrise, and many others. The CHS ASB is looking ahead and planning more afterschool events, assemblies, contests, clubs, volunteer opportunities, and activities that support our CHS school spirit for all of our students, staff, parents, families, and community members, and they need your help. They would like your input because your voice is essential. Please fill out the linked survey and give our CHS ASB students input on the events so far and what they should consider when planning future events.
Please fill out a Centennial High School 2022 Welcome Back Events Feedback Form and give your feedback to our students.
CHS Off-Campus Permit Application for Junior and Seniors: CHS has been a closed campus for many years, so students must stay in the building during the school day. However, Juniors and Seniors who meet all of the criteria may apply for an off-campus lunch permit with their parents' and schools' approval. If you are a CHS Junior or Senior who meets the criteria and what to apply for an off-campus lunch pass, please complete the application with the needed signatures and turn the completed forms into Ms. Martinez in the front office for consideration.
School Meals: We are excited to announce that we will continue the no charge for school meals this school year. There is no need to qualify for this service, and breakfast and lunch are offered free of charge every school day to all our students.
Every Wednesday is a Late Start day. So on Wednesday, Main and South Entrance doors open at 8:35 AM for students to go to the cafeteria for breakfast. Students must be in the cafeteria until 8:50 AM for cleanliness, supervision concerns, and to support staff meetings/planning time. At 8:50 AM, students will be released from the cafeteria to access the hallways and their lockers if they wish. The warning bell is at 9:05 AM. School starts at 9:10 AM. At 9:15 AM, the South Entrance closes, and everyone will need to enter through the main entrance.
School ends at 3:10 PM, and remember, every minute of learning counts.
CHS Expectation/Procedure Videos: Please watch and review the CHS Expectation videos, so you know the CHS expectations/procedures as we return at the start of this school year.
- Always show your school pride with your positive Eagle Spirit
- Outside food or drinks are not allowed at the games
- Students can not bring in backpacks or large bags to home contests
