MIMS students have earned time to relax and enjoy vacation with all of their hard work throughout the 2015-16 school year! We hope that throughout the summer months students will keep reading, writing, and interacting with Chinese language, math, science and social studies concepts. Here is a compilation of some learning resources families may find useful to prevent summer slide & keep those academic skills sharp!

The HISD Summer Reading program, with the theme 'Every Summer has a Story' challenges students to read a minimum of five books during the summer. [More...]
Rice University Athletics would like reward students who read 5 books over their summer break by offering 2 complimentary tickets for the Rice vs North Texas football game on September 24th, 2016 at Rice Stadium. Game time is TBD. Be sure to turn in your reading log when we return in August!
There are exciting prizes for top PK-5 readers in MyON!
- Top Reader will win an iPad Mini!

CAMP GOOGLE
Google has brought together Khan Academy, National Geographic, National Parks, and NASA to launch Camp Google: a free, four-week online camp for kids 7-10, filled with fun science activities and exploration.
CAMP WONDEROPOLIS
This year's theme of Camp Wonderopolis is "Flex Your Wonder," a online summer camp full of health-and fitness activities that tap into real-world learning. Give your Wonder a workout and explore topics from the Olympics to nutrition and beyond.
Brain Chase
'The Summer 2016 Brain Chase adventure starts June 20, 2016. Students in grades 2-8 will be able to watch the first animated webisode from their Student Dashboard then meet Mae Merriweather as she and her team of adventurers begin their search!
