Join us for a fun evening including dancing, light refreshments, pictures, and prizes. New this year, we will have three dances. Since we couldn't hold them last year, this year's dances are open to all girls up to and including those in seventh grade.

Evening Dance One 6:00-7:30 pm Gr 1-3
Evening Dance Two 8:30-10:00 pm Gr 4-7

Registration is limited this year and is held on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are dance specific. Cancellations will be accepted and a refund will be issued as long as the cancellation is received by noon on Nov. 29, 2021.

Otter Cheers For Volunteers
Olson’s November Otterific Otter Ceremony was a splashing success thanks to our Citizenship Coordinator, Misty!
For each month’s award assembly, Misty makes sure our Otters and their families are welcomed with, celebratory refreshments, and a special appearance by our beloved mascot, Splash!
Cissie Vines was kind enough to lend us her camera skills & Good Vibes Only, for an Otterly Otteriffic Photo!
Thank you to all of our Otterific Otter volunteers for making these celebrations not just “anotter” day!
Class Party Fund Donations
Fun fact: Class parties are funded by parent donations!
Each grade level has their own fund that rolls over from year to year and is equally distributed to each class to ensure all kiddos have a similar (and fun!) experience. Room Parents work within budget to assist teachers in planning/executing the festivities.
- K-5 there are 2 parties a year: One in Winter (12/16), one at the end of the year (date TBD).
- 6th grade goes on field trips instead! Donated funds will be applied to graduation festivities.
Consider donating $5-10 here (or reach out to your class' Room Parent if you/your business has relevant supplies) - Thank you for your generosity!
Reminder: Parties are limited to students and room parents only.
OLSON'S SCHOOL YEARBOOK
Next ✨SPIRIT SHOP ✨ Delivery is 12/13
The Character Trait for the month of November is EMPATHY!
Empathy is defined as an action of understanding, being aware of, and being sensitive to the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of another person. Empathy is about understanding what it is like to be in another person’s place or position.
In order to show others empathy, we need to understand what they are feeling and respond in kindness. We interact with people every day who have needs, need understanding, or need to be listened to. As we move through our day, we need to pay attention to what is being said and unsaid, as well as what is happening around us.
This time of year, we are finding people in need almost daily. By being empathetic, we take the time to let those around us know that we care about them.
This month, show your children what it means and how it feels to do something to impact the lives of others by listening, doing something or “walking in someone else’s shoes.”
RISE & SHINE: MORNING ARRIVAL AT OLSON
Way to go, parents, on getting your kiddos to school on time! Our number of tardies has steadily decreased over the past couple of weeks. As a reminder, students arriving after the bell rings at 7:45 am will need to be signed in by a parent/guardian at the office.
In addition, please do not drop-off your student before 7:30 am. We do not have staff available to supervise until 7:30. Thank you!
