Get Out and Play Day
Today was "Get Out and Play Day" at Middlebrook! Students were led through a mindful obstacle course by our Social Worker, Mrs. Doyle and our School Psychologist, Mrs. Lee. They practiced stretches, positive affirmations and physical activities consisting of jumping, hopping, and balancing!
2nd graders watched how to simulate a volcanic eruption using baking soda and white vinegar which causes a chemical acid-base reaction when combined. This mixture causes a gas called carbon dioxide which builds up and expands causing it to bubble and foam.
Beach Day- Grade 1
Students in Grade 1 had Beach Day on Friday! Family members joined their student in the courtyard for lunch and fun activities.Each class participated in a variety of crafts in their classrooms, and one of our art teachers, Mrs. Branyan, helped Mrs. Repasi's room work with crafty octopi! As always, the Grade 1 team created an amazing experience for our young learners!
"STEM" building + Coding games in the library with Mrs. Reding's class!
Concert!
Many students at Middlebrook performed in a concert this week under the direction of our fabulous music staff! We were dazzled by band, strings and our Grade 5 chorus. We are so fortunate to have a wealth of talent at our school. Bravo! Bravo!
Kylee and Leena DeFarias were the lucky raffle winners of an ambulance ride to school!

News from the Nurse- Grade 3
In accordance with the Connecticut Statues, the Trumbull Board of Education’s policy on Physical Health assessments requires all students to have a current Physical Health Assessment when in 3rd Grade.
The physical must be completed between June 1, 2022 through June 1, 2023, so that your child may continue to attend the Trumbull School system.
Moving/Changing Schools?
If you will be moving / changing schools for the 2023-24 school year, please let your child's classroom teacher and the Middlebrook office know. This will help make a smooth transition for your child and allow time for staff to prepare necessary paperwork.
