Technology $$$$$$$
Just as a gentle reminder... any damages or repairs to our school laptops must be paid from our school budget. Not fun, no... especially when we have had 3 chrome screens broken in the first 5 weeks of school. Please keep this in mind when having students claim and return their laptops. We want to always encourage the usage of technology, but please develop solid management plans to protect the tools as well as possible. If you are unsure on how to do this, simply ask Ms. Redmond. Thank you!
Three Thank Yous (these all come from staff nominations this week!)
Thank you to our School nutrition and Ms. Whitaker for recognizing student birthdays! Thank you to Ms. Sherry Colon for always "giving 100% to students and peers. Even when in the midst of other concerns, she’s always willing to help with lessons, discipline, and technology." Thank you to Ms. Moore for "taking on the blended learning classroom for 8th grade SS and doing an excellent job getting the students to work and for helping them understand what they are doing, and generally provide assistance to the whole 8th grade team."
FALL BONFIRE - Mark your calendars!

Money for the classroom? Deadline is October 11!
The Cabarrus County Education Foundation (CCEF) is excited to kick off the 2016-2017 Classroom Mini-Grant Program. Grants are awarded to teachers annually for up to $500 for classroom projects that identify special opportunities encompassing innovation, creativity, sustainability, and alignment with Cabarrus County School goals and curriculum standards. Some of this year’s recipients created an outdoor learning lab, explored Chinese paper cutting, held staff development training, built robotics into their curriculum, introduced stability balls, and even held a Resume Day that brought companies in to meet with students not attending college. The Classroom Mini-Grant application is attached and will be due by October 11, 2016. It is also available on our website at www.ccefnc.org.
