In the Classroom
In Kindergarten through 3rd grade classrooms we will be focusing on Empathy, Compassion, and respecting differences. Empathy is understanding how other people feel (we look for clues on faces, body language, and by looking at the situation), while compassion is showing that we care. We may feel differently or have different preferences than our classmates, but we can still be respectful and kind.
Our 4th and 5th grade classrooms will begin exploring emotion management and ways to calm down strong feelings. These lessons include exploration of how our bodies respond when we experience strong emotions. Ask your child what it means if their "lid flips" and what strategies they can use to calm down.
Eagles Giving Tree
If you are looking for a way to help out this holiday season, Eagles will have a Giving Tree set up in the office from December 1 - December 22. Gift tags will be displayed on the tree and available for anyone to pick up. Gifts requested this year include classroom snacks and financial donations for clearing lunch debts. Gifts do not need to be wrapped and can be brought into the office at any time before winter break. Thank you for considering!
Snow Gear Needs
It's cold out! We want all of our students to be bundled up from head to toe. If purchasing snow gear is a hardship for your family, please reach out. We are happy to help keep our students warm!
