Choose Your Summer Adventure
April/May 2022
Each and Every Educator - Every Day
The past two school years have been challenging. Educators have met and conquered challenges that they had not even imagined even a few years ago. Educators deserve to be commended for the hard work they have put in, and also be encouraged to engage in self-care to meet individual physical, mental, emotional, and professional needs.
To all our educators: You excel in putting the needs of your students first every day. We also encourage you to consider your needs every day both as we move into the summer break, and as we begin each new academic year.
In this SMORE newsletter, we offer ideas and resources that hopefully inspire you to take a break from professional learning when needed, and engage fully in self-care if that serves you best. If you are the type of person who wants learning opportunities to fill your toolkit for next fall, then you will also find some resources that allow you to "dip your toe in" or "dive head first" into learning.
Most importantly, we support a focus on your most salient needs and to choose a summer adventure that feeds your soul. Best wishes on a fulfilling, nurturing, and refreshing summer break at the end of this school year.
