Oceanside High School

Staff Newsletter - September 2015

Welcome Back Message

Welcome Back! We hope you all had a great summer and are recharged for an exciting 2015-2016 school year! This summer brought about many changes to our school, as we had a great deal of construction done to improve our school's infrastructure. While this undertaking posed many challenges, we were able to work together as a team to accomplish many wonderful things. We were truly impressed by the hard work put in by the staff on curriculum writing and many other professional endeavors.

Oceanside is a very special community. This year's district theme is "Oceanside Schools ~ Anchored together in Purpose, Passion, and People." We start each year with the same general purpose. We work together to mold the future by preparing our students to be the leaders of tomorrow. Here at OHS we are fortunate to be surrounded by people that use their passion for education each and every day to make a difference in children's lives. Finally, we need to remember that everything we do is dependent upon the relationships and strong bonds we foster among our people. Collegiality and helping those in need are the foundations for our great successes.

Each year we are amazed by the wonderful things that are done by our staff and our students. We look forward to the exciting sporting events, the fantastic performances, the accolades received through academic competitions, and all of the wonderful fundraisers that bring us together as a community. Sailor Nation is truly an extraordinary place!

We would like to wish you all a fabulous school year filled with much success!

~ Gerri, Joelle, Greg, & Keith
