IB MISSION
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end, the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

IB Corner
What is IB?
IB stands for International Baccalaureate. The IB is celebrating their 50th year in education and has over 4,000 schools worldwide. It began as a program to provide educational continuity for military and expat families that were moving around the world and wanted a rigorous academic program for their children that would remain constant regardless of the country.
The Middle Years Program (MYP) at the middle school level are both an overlay to the district and state aligned curriculum. Each one focuses on the development of the whole student with TEN Learner Profile Traits, and its goal is for students to gain a global perspective while fully participating in their local communities.
Update on 8th grade IB Community Projects
Parents/guardians, please check in with your 8th grader to see where they are in their IB Community Project. They should be meeting with their supervisor to fill out Checkpoint #3 right now. The detailed project timeline and checklist for the project phases can be found on pages 10 & 11 of the IB Community Project Handbook. Click HERE for the digital version of the handbook.
