Happy New Year!
What a blessing to be together in the year 2020! It seems like just yesterday we were all preparing for Jan 2000 and all of the mysteries it would bring. Hopefully, this year was just a calm and relaxing change of the decade for your family.
As we begin our second semester together, I am sure you are already thinking about all of the events that will happen this school year: STAAR testing, PK and Kinder graduation, 5th grade end of the year awards, field day. So many things still to come! For now, we take it one day at a time.
I hope one of your new year's resolutions was to find a way to volunteer up at the school. Either in a classroom, with PTO or maybe in the library. We need you to be a part of our school experience. Don't be shy, sign up to be a volunteer today. Feel free to call the office to get more details about supporting our school.
I am sure you have noticed our new playground on the front side of the building. Any day now we will be able to play on the new equipment. If you are wondering why they put it toward the back and not on the existing playground area, remember we will be adding 11 new classroom on the old playground area next year. We are growing! One more reason we need you!
Remember to follow is on Facebook, sign up for Remind messages and always look at our school website. Stay informed. Stay involved. We appreciate you!
Warmest wishes,
Carolyn Parker

A big thank you to Ms. Riojas, our PTO President, and our other volunteers who made the Winter Fest a huge success! It was a blast! Thank you to all of the families who came out to join us and had a good time.
We will have a PTO meeting on Wednesday, Jan 15 at 4:30 in our school library. Please come join us as we look to vote in a new treasurer and secretary. We will also be planning our next school-wide event, Movie Night on Friday, Jan 24. Come share your talents and ideas. Pizza will be provided for all adults who attend the PTO meeting! All are welcome!

Seuss’s non-fiction book is a colorful look at an artist’s creative process and traces the horse as a subject in art through the ages. The manuscript, recently discovered among some other unpublished papers, features familiar Seuss characters throughout its pages. Come check it out!
