Learning Environment Feedback

It's the time of year where we start making plans for next school year. With that, if you would like to provide feedback on your child's learning environment for the 2023-2024 school year, now is the time. Please see this letter which outlines the framework for this feedback. Please note that the deadline to submit feedback is Monday, April 24th.

Calling all 2nd grade musicians!

Over the next few weeks, every current 2nd grader will get the chance to hear a performance by members of our school orchestra AND try each of the instruments offered in our orchestra program: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. Nearly 1,000 children across D303 elementary schools are involved in our elementary orchestra program!


If your child is interested in joining us, please mark your calendar for our NEW Orchestra Parent Information meeting! At the virtual meeting, you will meet your orchestra director, learn details about the program, how to register, and how to rent an instrument. Each meeting will present the same information, so please join us when you can. We look forward to meeting with you. Please join us for one of these meetings:

Ferson Creek Summer Camp

Camp Firefly is back at Ferson in an updated format. Camp will run from 8:30-11:30 only, from Monday, June 5th - Friday, June 23rd, with the exception of June 19th. Students will have the option to select three courses. Click the image below for registration information.

Message from the Health Office

Illinois State law requires all Kindergarten and 2nd Grade students to have an oral health examination. If you have not completed this requirement, a licensed dentist must perform the dental exam and sign and date the exam form. This exam is due by May 15 of the school year.


The Illinois Department of Public Health has established a waiver for children who show undue burden or lack of access to a dentist. Parents or legal guardians who object to the dental examination on religious grounds shall present to the school a signed, detailed statement of objection.


The dental exam and waiver form can be found on our District 303 website under “Departments” , “Health Services” , “Health Documents and Forms” Most dental offices also have the dental exam form.
