Falcon Flyer
Blair Oaks High School - April 24, 2020
We have dates!
It has been a busy few weeks! The extended school closure currently stands at 26 days down and 15 days to go. It has been the positive attitude and approach from all of you that has brought us to this point. Following are some dates we have set for key year-of-the-year events. We appreciate the assistance of many district stakeholders, including but not limited to, students, parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, and building administrators in this process. Thanks for helping us try to make the best out of a tough situation.
The Blair Oaks Class of 2020 Graduation originally scheduled for Sunday, May 17 at 7:30 PM at the Falcon Athletic Complex has been postponed until Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 PM at the Falcon Athletic Complex.
Tentative Dates of Events
Senior Parade - Sunday, May 17 - 2:00 PM (Outside)
HS Prom - Saturday, June 6 - 8:00 PM (Outside)

We know that students and families are looking forward to putting these dates and times on their calendars. Additional details related to these events will be communicated in the days and weeks ahead. These are all subject to change, but we feel this is a great place to start. Future orders from the state and the county may need to be considered in the future.
We have also been working with the other public, parochial, and private schools of Cole County. The collaboration between all the educational institutions in Cole County has been a great outcome of this unprecedented situation.

Summer School 2020 Announcement
Date Change
Please note that summer school WILL NOT begin on May 27 as originally planned. The start date will be pushed back. Please be on the lookout for an email to go out in the following week regarding the new summer school dates. At this time there is no need to continue signing up for summer school as a new registration form will be used to coincide with the new summer school dates. This will also be shared in the upcoming week.
Summer school is offered for grades K-8 and then also a High School Physical Education and Driver's Education class. The possibility of continuing to offer High School P.E. and Driver's Education this summer is unclear at this time. More information regarding these two courses will be shared in the upcoming week.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare to provide summer school.
