Family Newsletter

Hello everyone-

We had a short, fun week this week! I got to go shopping in first grade as they finished up their economics project- they are sooooo creative! I bought a popsicle raft for my cell phone, a joy shirt, self-portrait, and doggie that I added to the joy shirt. So great! The other pic is from 4th grade's anatomy project- they were so proud to explain the body parts and what they do.

I hope that you all enjoyed the long weekend and were able to spend quality time with your family. I got to do a girls weekend with my mom and sister in Florida and it was so fun to just get away with no agenda and nothing to do.

Please take a moment to provide us with feedback on parent communication. We will use your feedback this summer to create our school improvement plan for '22-'23. Thanks in advance for your participation! Click here for parent survey.

Please reach out at any time to share any questions, concerns, or ideas. I am here to help and support you and your family. Thanks for all you do to help keep our students and staff safe.

Take Care-

School Improvement Goal- Parent Communication

As you may recall, one of our school improvement goals is to increase parent communication. We had a few actions steps to address this:
  • Required weekly or biweekly newsletters from classroom teachers or grade level
  • Required mid-quarter progress reports
  • Send home student reports for SEL data- Sabrs report
  • Share grade level and building wide data via PTO reports
  • Expectation of 24 hour response time to acknowledge emails

Please complete the survey below to let us know if the steps we put in place were effective and provide suggestions for additional action steps to improve for next year. We had 192 responses this fall and I am hopeful we will have this many again. Thank you for providing feedback to help us grow and meet your needs!

Stuck on Literacy - Robinson Roadrunners Reading Challenge

The kids are begging to tape me to the wall still and so I am going to be challenging them to read 2 books at home from now until the end of the year. If we reach our Robinson Roadrunners Reading Challenge of reading 1,000 books at home before May 16th, we will let the kids tape me to the exterior wall of the gym for Field Day on the 20th. A paper for parents to complete will be sent home in the backpack on Monday. Students just turn the sheets into the teacher on May 16th- we will count however many books each child reads toward the goal, so one student reads extra it may cover those who did not return any reading. Good luck Roadrunners- read away!

Robinson PTO Board Needs Volunteers for 22-23 School Year

The Robinson PTO is looking for parents and guardians to join the PTO board for the upcoming school year! Worried that you won't have enough time? Or maybe that it's not the right fit? Well, have no fear! We are a fun bunch of parents who too just want to help our school community.

All open board positions are "elect" positions which means you will work alongside the current board member for a year before transitioning into the role. We recognize many of us are stretched thin in life and couldn't imagine carving out any extra time. But this type of community service really is rewarding especially when you see the joy on our students' and teachers' faces.

If we have a strong, diverse team we can strike a balance with time commitment and will be more successful at building a Robinson community that is connected, engaging and enriched!

All are welcome! Please contact us as if you would like to hear more or are interested in joining our Board.
