During our Mid-Winter Break (Tuesday, February 16 - Friday, February 19) BPCS will offer a unique opportunity for its students to attend a week -long camp of exciting academic and sports & arts related activities. Students, and their siblings, aged 4-9 may drop in for a day or participate in an entire week of activities. The camp will operate from 8:30am until 4:00pm, with after-care options until 5:30pm.

Activities will take place both at 80 Willoughby Street, as well as field trips throughout the city. Each day will begin with camper drop-off in the gym. Campers will arrive and be greeted between 8:30 and 8:45am. They will engage in free-play while other campers continue to arrive. This will be followed by an instructed physical activity or game. Daily activities will vary depending on the particular day the camper attends. For detailed information and a complete list of daily activities, please reference the activity outline:Camp Daily Agenda. Program costs can be found here.

Brooklyn Prospect welcomes you all and is extremely excited to announce this inaugural launch of academic, social, and cultural programming during the mid-winter recess.

Welcome Hulda Haughton!

Dear families, we would like to formally introduce you all to Hulda Haughton. Hulda (pronounced like a "hull" of a ship + da) is joining our staff as a Learning Specialist. She comes to us with a wealth of experience in both traditional and Montessori settings. We have already learned so much from her, and when in her presence, find ourselves more grounded by the effects of her positive, caring nature. She really shines when she is working with our students. Please welcome her when you see her!

district 15 Route

Dear families despite your hard work and our passionate pleas; BPCS has again been turned down by OPT for the addition of a District 15 bus route. We are disappointed that OPT could not provide this much needed transportation option to our families. We will re-submit our request for the 2016 school year.

We need help with brain-storming, planning, and day-of participation - so please reach out to if you would like to share your thoughts or lend a helping hand.
