Mustang Message
Murchison Elementary
Message from Ms. Weirich
Thank you to all of our amazing students and families that joined in the fun of Murchison Spirit Week. We loved getting to see pictures and videos of all that could participate. As we close up Spirit Week we now launch our annual College and Career Week! Though this will look very different than in the past, we would love to get our mustangs engaged in some fun activities!
Education Go Get It Week April 27-May 1
Monday – design a college pennant (check online for ideas)
Tuesday – discuss higher education experiences with family (college, military, trade school, etc)
Wednesday – wear a college shirt
Thursday – dress as your career of interest
Friday – take a virtual tour of college/trade school
This weekend the teachers have begun gathering all student materials together as we prepare to distribute these to families. We will begin the distribution of materials on Monday, May 4th, and continue until everyone has had a chance to pick up their belongings. This will be a great time to turn in library books, guided reading books and any other items borrowed from teachers. Keep an eye out for many more details coming about this process.
*As teachers clean out their classrooms and find library books, they will turn those into Mrs. Coleman so their accounts will be cleared.
Have a great week!
Respectfully,
Reese Weirich

BrightBytes Survey
Dear Murchison Elementary Campus Community
We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research organization, to learn more about you and your students’ technology access and use for learning.
The goal of this project is to gather data on technology access, skills, and your school’s technology environment, in order to understand the connection between technology use and student achievement.
Our data collection window is set to run from now to May 27, 2020.
Each school is assigned three unique Technology and Learning Questionnaires. There is one designed for teachers and administrators; one designed for students, and one designed for parents.
Your questionnaire links are listed below:
Your participation and support is important to us and will make the difference between having a complete understanding of our school’s technology use versus a limited one.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
