What is happening in RM 16?
Week of October 3rd
Focus Skill: identify sequence of events
Writing:
Autobiographies
**Please make sure you send in the questionnaire by Monday to help make your child's writing even more meaningful.
Spelling:
Their spelling list (purple list this week) can be found in their binders. Please note that it is important to focus on the patterns in their words and not necessarily the memorization of the words. They need to be able to apply what they learn to their writing too.
The packet that is clipped in their binder is to be used with their weekly spelling words.
We will not have spelling tests. I will be looking for the application of their words in their everyday writing.
Math:
Focus skills: triangles, quadrilaterals, symmetry
**We will test over Unit 2 the following week on Tuesday, October, 11th.
**As you can see, all of the above involve multiplication. It is so important for your child to be fluent in multiplication at this point. I really appreciate any extra practice you can fit in at home!! If you would like a set of flash cards, please let me know and I will send some home with your child!
I post links on our Google Classroom that will help reinforce these skills at home :). Your child should know how to log on.

Social Studies:
We will have an open-book government test on Tuesday, Oct. 4th.
