Broadmoor's Weekly Wildcat News!
February 17-21, 2020
Remember: No School on Monday, February 17th due to President's Day!
Dear Broadmoor Families,
I would like to thank all of the parents and teachers for their help in our last party of the year! It looked like everyone had a wonderful time. I was home sick and hated to miss it, but I want to thank the students for all of the get well notes and Valentine's!
Speaking of sick, we are seeing a lot of illness at BES in both the students and the teachers. We are seeing two different types of illness. One begins with the student having a headache and stomach ache. There's no fever, but within a short amount of time a fever and/or vomiting presents. The other is typical cold symptoms, but with a fever present. Please help us keep everyone at BES healthy by keeping your child home if they are showing symptoms or have a fever. We ask that students and staff stay home until they are fever, vomit or diarrhea free without the help of medications for 24 hours.
Yearbooks are on sale NOW! We did not have the option of buying them at enrollment like the other buildings. They are only on sale during the month of February - it is your only chance to purchase. Please complete the order form and send it in or you can order online at www.inter-state.com/flyerentry and enter code: 43667J.
Our district is planning a bond election in April this year. This bond will provide much needed improvements to our district's facilities, but especially to BES. I encourage you to check out the 'Bond 2020' tab on our district website, come to the informational meetings and reach out to me to learn more! I included a link to the Bond 2020 information below! It is a very exciting time to be a Wildcat!
This week we have a PTO meeting at 7pm on Tuesday night. They also have a very fun event coming up - an adult only 80's Night on March 7th. Come learn more and how you can help with this and other upcoming events!
On Wednesday morning, we will have Cat's Coffee for our Broadmoor grandparents. Hope to see you there!
Lastly, GOOD LUCK to Parker Powers and Dakin Jacklovich! They will represent us this Friday at the Miami County Spelling Bee! We know they will do GREAT!
Have a wonderful week!

A Note from Nurse Candice:
Flu season is upon us! Please review district policy regarding illness and exclusion from school.
If diagnosed with influenza-please follow your Dr's recommendations. CDC and KDHE recommend stay home for 7 days after the onset of symptoms. Studies have shown a person is still contagious for 7 days. USD 416 influenza policy states, the student must be well enough to attend school, 24 hrs fever free, vomiting free, and diarrhea free without the aid of medication. Encourage your child to wash hands, refrain from touching face, and do not share items such as water bottles or chapstick. Please contact Nurse Candice for any other questions or concerns.
