The best of their time
John Locke was a enlightened philosopher and writer. He wrote the book Treatises of Government. This book tells about the government being a social contract between citizens and rulers. He believed that the nature of man was based on reason, logic, and tolerance. He also, believed that all "men" had" the natural rights of life, liberty, and property.
