A letter from our principal
Bogle Community,
We have had a great start to the first few weeks of school. Students are beginning to campaign for student council, sports are off to a successful start, and we will soon be sending out a list of clubs with some new additions based on student interest. We also had a successful Open House! Thank you for joining us in-person or virtually. Administrators and teachers enjoyed meeting parents and sharing our plan for the school year.
At Open House you may have seen our mission statement posters hanging around campus. Staff and students integrate three core values in our interactions at Bogle: Respect, Persist and Triumph. Being kind and persevering are values we model and have seen examples of in student activities every day. As I have stated when addressing 7th and 8th graders, Triumph is a part of knowing your strengths and what you do well. We will be working with students to help build on their passions and strengths. Jr. High is a time to explore and begin to set goals. While investing in relationships with our students, our focus will be to foster the continuation of academic growth and confidence.
Our staff value your involvement in all of our activities and initiatives. I want to thank our community for the outpouring of support in our Chandler Education Foundation, Cash for Classroom drive! Because of your participation and generosity, many grants will be funded to support innovating learning opportunities in classrooms.
We appreciate you staying connected in the education of your students. Please continue to watch for our sports dates, posted site council meeting times, and special notifications.
Thank you,
Amanda Cook

Cash for Classrooms
We are blown away by the generosity of our Bogle family! At the end of our Cash for Classroom campaign, we raised a tremendous amount of money that will go toward technology and social emotional learning grants written by CUSD teachers.
Mrs. Bellew's WIN class had 100% of their students return a signed envelope, so they were presented with the Community Service Champs award. Every team earned spirit points based on all types of participation.
paws room
The Bogle Paws and Breathe Room is utilized to help students develop mindfulness habits in order to promote self-regulation and awareness and the use of positive coping strategies. Through guided meditation and practice of positive coping strategies, students will have a specified, semi-private location to pause, breathe, and regroup before returning to the classroom environment.
In the week that the room has been open to students, it has been accessed by students 63 times during student lunch periods or during social worker led groups. Sixty percent of student visits are less than 15 minutes long and 81% of students these students report a drop in their stress or anxiety levels by the time they leave.
Students can access the Paws Room during lunch periods to have a few quiet moments in the middle of the day. It is recommended that students start with one time per week and because spots are limited, students are asked to reserve their spot in advance by visiting the Paws room website: https://www.cusd80.com/Page/113824
