AASC
CHS Student Council attended the Arizona Association of Student Council (AASC) State Convention January 24-26th. They networked with all the Student Councils in the state of Arizona on how to promote school spirit, heard from national keynote speakers and engaged in meaningful workshops.
COUNSELORS CORNER
Counselors wrapped up registration this week and met with almost every single Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior on a one on one basis. We had a great time talking with the students and helping them understand their transcripts and their course choices and we are getting excited for next year! If your child did not meet with a counselor, please let us know so that we can reach out to them.
The ACT test will be offered on campus on February 20. This is for Juniors only and is offered at a cost of $24.50 which is a $20 savings over the regular cost of the test. Juniors can sign up in the counseling office for the ACT and pay their fee to the bookstore. For Juniors and Seniors who want to take the SAT, it will be offered here at CHS on Saturday, March 9, and Saturday, May 4. Students need to go to www.collegeboard.org to sign up and pay the fee.
Also coming soon is the College and Career fair on Tuesday, March 19. Several colleges, the military, and private businesses will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. We hope you can make it!
