The Manning Weekly Newsletter

December 21, 2018

Dear Families,

This is the last Newsletter of the Semester, but please take the time to read it thoroughly before the end of the Winter Break. We are sharing some information to make the transition into the second semester as smooth as possible.

Schedule changes for next semester should have already been handled. Any more changes is highly unlikely. Access the schedules over the break so you can see where to go.

Bell Schedule upon return. Start and end times will remain the same. Wed is still an early pick up at 2:20 even though it's the first day.

If you're still involved at all with an elementary school community, please help your friends and acquaintances understand the Enroll Jeffco process.

Reminder ~ Ear Buds

Our teachers have noticed a significant number of students are no longer bringing their ear buds or headphones to school on a regular basis, making classroom activities less efficient at times. Please remind your student to bring these to school. If you have two different sets, it might be worthwhile to leave one set of ear buds in their locker.

Friday, December 21 is a Flex Day for students whose teachers still need them to make up work. We won't know which students need to be here on that last Friday of the semester until the day before. Please keep this in mind while making travel plans. Students can come into school by request to make up work between 8:25 and 12:25.

Enroll Jeffco is Coming!

Jeffco Public Schools is rolling out a new student enrollment system called EnrollJeffco for the 2019-20 school year. This new enrollment system has two components. First, a tool called School Finder, which is a searchable database of information about all Jeffco Public Schools. Second, an online enrollment system where all current and incoming students will indicate where they will go to school next year. Families with new preschool students and those who want to participate in choice enrollment to attend a school other than their current or neighborhood school will apply for their school of choice through this system.

Starting December 17: Go to to learn about the schools near you.

January 22 - February 8: Enroll in your current or neighborhood school (K-12), or apply to another Jeffco school (choice enrollment & preschool) at

Late February: If choice enrolling, you will receive notification of next steps via email.

Check out now or watch the video below for information about this user-friendly system that will help families plan ahead and provide schools with enrollment information to prepare for the next school year.
