CA JAYCEE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES 2024 SCHOLARSHIPS - Deadline January 19, 2024
scholastic funding to eligible High School Seniors who will continue
their education at any accredited college or vocational school in the
United States. In 2024, Scholarship awards will be given in
increments of $1,000.
Three recipients of the California Jaycee Foundation scholarships
will be forwarded to the United States JCI Senate Foundation
Scholarship Program Review Committee for participation in that program
as well, two (2) for scholastic scholarships and one (1) for
vocational/industrial, for a possible additional $1,500 scholarship.

To be most competitive, students should have this information as
quickly as possible. Please share this information and link with your
school guidance counselors, career counseling services, and school
scholarship website. The application cutoff mailing date is January
19, 2024. It must be submitted via US postal mail.

Scholarship Application
All application packages must be postmarked by January 19, 2024, or
they cannot be considered. Submitting earlier in January is
suggested. No electronic submissions will be accepted.
Important Information for Students
· The application packet must include head shot photograph; the
completed application form; the college/university acceptance letter
(if the student has been accepted); the recommendation letters
(maximum of three (3); the high school transcript; ACT / SAT test
scores only if available and applicable; and the personal statement
from the student. Any additional information (certificates, pictures,
etc.) can be added to the end of the packet. There is a limit of
three (3) pages of additional information allowed.
· National / state (ACT / SAT) test scores are NOT mandatory
for our award, however there is a small bonus point area for the
students who include test scores. Test scores are NOT required for
students applying for industrial, trade or vocational schools.
· Every page should have the student’s name and page number
listed on the top right-hand corner. The reference letters (maximum
of three), additional information, and the school transcript should
also have the name and page number included.

Middle Class Scholarship
*NEW* Middle Class Scholarship 2.0
The state of California has modified the Middle-Class Scholarship (MCS) effective for the 2022-2023 academic year. While the name stays the same, the program has changed.
California's MCS provides a scholarship to undergraduates and students pursuing a teaching credential with family income and household asset ceiling of $217,000 for 2023-24 academic year. The California Student Aid Commission uses data from our 23 campuses, the FAFSA or CADAA to make awards. Any federal, state, institutional, or private grants and scholarships received will affect the value of your Middle-Class Scholarship.
To be eligible, the student must be enrolled at a California State University or University of California and be a California resident or an eligible AB540 student and must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application by the March 2 deadline. Additionally, students must meet the new enrollment and satisfactory academic progress requirements listed below. Students who are eligible will see Middle Class Scholarship included in their awards.

The College Board Opportunity Scholarships - The program guides juniors and seniors through the college planning process and offers the chance to earn scholarships, from $500 to $40,000, for every action that students complete.
