Need to Know and Upcoming events

Cubs,

New Inductees into Wall of Fame

This Friday, during 1st period, we will be inducting 6 new members into our Wall of Fame. All 9th - 12th-grade students will learn about the new inductees and contributions they have made during their lifetime. I am looking forward to this event and hopefully, some of you will be inspired by what you hear.

AP Student Meeting

All AP students will be meeting at 12:30 on Friday in the main gym. This will be a short meeting. Reminder AP testing starts next week. Get rested and have a good breakfast.

Annual Custer Contest

Sunday in the Auditorium will be the Custer Contest. If you have never been to this contest, you don't want to miss it the kids are awesome. Graduating seniors who complete all four years of high school at MCHS and rank in the top of the class are eligible to participate. The top five seniors are given the first offers. If any of those students choose not to enter the oratorical competition, the opportunity passes to the next in line academically. Come watch the contestants walk across the stage in the Opal E. Sherman Auditorium, taking on the persona of the writers, and, in some cases, of the multiple characters in each presentation. The entrants are judged on four criteria - the quality of their voices, pronunciation, enunciation, and their actions and movements within the presentations.
