Routines
Dear Parents,
As we step into the lovely month of February, we wanted to share some friendly reminders about the importance of a nightly routine for your little ones in PreK through 1st grade.
A consistent bedtime routine helps children get the sleep they need to grow and learn. Simple activities like reading a book, brushing teeth, and a goodnight hug can create a calm and cozy environment, making bedtime a positive experience.
Additionally, regular attendance at school is crucial for your child's learning journey. Each day at school brings new opportunities for exploration and discovery. By attending regularly, your child not only builds important social skills but also establishes a strong foundation for future academic success.
We appreciate your ongoing support in ensuring your child gets a good night's sleep and attends school regularly. Together, we can create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and joy for our young learners.
Wishing you a fantastic February!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Galindo

Meals at the Primary!!
Our students in our Head Start program are provided a free school lunch in the classroom daily. In kindergarten and first grade students are able to pack a lunch from home or they can eat a lunch from the cafeteria.
All Primary students will be issued a student id badge that will be used on the bus (if school transportation is used), in the cafeteria to scan for breakfast and lunch, and in the library to check out books.
Do you want to share something wonderful about one of our Primary Staff members, please click on the Lytle Love Link above and let us know who and what they did to make your day.

What is Kindness?
Kindness is the ability and willingness to express care and compassion for others. Kindness is a choice to use our time, talent, and resources to better the lives of others and the world through genuine acts of love, compassion, generosity, and service.
Why focus on Kindness?
- Kindness boosts positive emotions. Acts of kindness create neural pathways that enhance feelings of well-being and the natural flow of feel-good endorphins and neurotransmitters.
- Kindness is self-replicating. When we perform an act of kindness, it is likely to encourage others to act in a similar way.
- Kindness reduces stress and anxiety. Kindness promotes positive relationships with other people. Anything that helps you to build bonds with other people helps decrease anxiety.
Kindness in Action:
- Celebrate small things. Start each day with Good Things as a class. Publicly and privately affirm kind and thoughtful actions and attitudes.
- Create opportunities for students to regularly affirm each other. Once a week, dedicate time for students to write notes of affirmation to classmates and school staff members.
- Model Kindness. Be mindful of body language, tone, and mindset. Kindness is learned by example!
