Mrs. Morehead's Weekly News
March 1st, 2016
Congrats to our DARE Graduates!
What We're Learning
In ELA, we are working on making inferences with fiction texts, and starting work on a Westward Expansion research and writing project. In math, students are finishing up adding and subtracting fractions, and will be taking a post assessment by the end of this week. We will be moving on to multiplying and dividing fractions before reviewing for the MAP test. In science, we are finally finishing coding our robots. We had many successful teams compete the challenge of programming their robots, and a few groups even worked on other self-designed coding challenge projects. Today, we starting talking about our impact on the world (our human footprint) and about how much we consume in our lifetimes. This will lead to a project on the human impact on our world, and how we can do whatever possible to conserve our resources.
Book Fair is March 11-March 22
