Taft Timberwolf Newsletter
Week of April 3, 2016
From The Principal's Desk
Please make sure your child goes to bed early the night before their exams and eats a quality breakfast, try to include protein the morning of testing. Students need to be on time for school during the exam days as they will not be able to join their class if testing has started. There will be limited movement in the halls for all students, staff, and visitors as we want to provide the best testing environment for our Timberwolves.
GOOD LUCK TAFT TIMBERWOLVES!!!
Congratulations to our spelling bee runner-up, Katelynn L. and winner, Mandy M.
Hello Music Parents:
1. Concert
As I am sure you have seen in the Neenah Music Parent's Newsletter, on your child's practice card and in school newsletters, our spring concert is fast approaching. On Monday, April 18th the Taft Musicians will be sharing their music with the school at 2:25. They should then return to school by 6:15pm for our 6:30 concert for parents in the Taft gym. Dress code for both events is Neenah Musician's T-shirts and nice pants or skirt. NO BLUE JEANS please.
After the concert we will have a reception celebrating our musician's hard work. If you can contribute to the festivity (no obligation to do so), please let me know what and how much you will bring so that I can better plan what I need to add. We can use finger foods (nothing needing utensils please), soda or juice.
2. Schedule
This week is a short week of school. Taft musicians will have their lesson on Monday morning 3/21.
3. Scholarships
The Neenah Community band is offering scholarships to music students in 5th through 11th grade to help with costs for music camps, summer lessons and Smart Music subscriptions See the attachment for more information. Applications must be returned to me by April 21st.
Please contact me with any questions.
