Winter Parties are scheduled for December 19th

Our first official party day is Wednesday, December 19th. Teachers and/or Room Parents will be sending home information regarding the Winter Party very soon if they have not already done so. Please be mindful of any food allergies in the classrooms before bringing food in (teachers will know the allergies and approve the list of food items prior to the party day).

This day is not an early release day, so most parties will occur after lunches. Here are the party times for each grade level:

  • PPCD: 1:00-2:00

  • PK: 1:15-2:15

  • Kinder: 11:00-12:00

  • 1st Grade: 1:15-2:15

  • 2nd Grade: 12:30-1:20

  • 3rd Grade: 1:30-2:15

Visiting at Lunch

We love when families come to have lunch with their child, however we do ask that if you bring in outside food that you do not share it with students other than your own child. We have several students in our building who have food allergies. Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe!

Character Trait of The Month...

December 's Character Trait of The Month is Caring. Here are few ways we can be Caring towards others...

  • Be kind;
  • Be compassionate and show you care;
  • Forgive others;
  • Help people in need.

Students will learn more about this month's character trait in weekly Guidance lessons.

Counselor's Corner

Hello LVES families! Our first Project Vinátta campus project is underway during our guidance classes! Students are creating a “No Place for Hate Paper Plate” that shows a picture or message about being kind to others. We will be posting the paper plates in each grade level’s hallway once they are all completed!

It is getting colder out, so remember the Lago Vista Clothing Closet is open to all community members, and is located behind the Lago Vista Intermediate School in Portable 6. You may call LVIS at 512-267-8300 ext. 3500 to schedule a time to pick something out. And don’t forget about the free Coats for Kids event at the Palmer Events Center in Austin tomorrow, December 8 from 8-3. (www.jlaustin.org/coats)

If your child needs a coat and you are unable to go to either of these places, please let me know and I will make sure they get one! You can email or call me, just let me know if it is for a boy or girl, and the size needed. I will pick something out for your child and bring it to school for them. Thank you!

amy_sexton@lagovista.txed.net or (512) 267-8300 ext. 4504.

Hola familias LVES!

¡Gracias!

amy_sexton@lagovista.txed.net o (512) 267-8300 ext. 4504.

LVES Office Hours

Our front office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30-4:00 pm. If you call before or after that time, you will need to leave a message and someone from the office staff will return your call the next day.
